KOKONO™ is unique because it was conceived during two research workshops conducted in Kampala, Gulu, Hoima and Fort Portal where we listened to the needs and preferences of the locals, and we understood what was needed and how the solution, i.e. the cradle, should be produced. Let's take an example: the different functions of the object will make it versatile, so that it can be used as a playpen beyond 12 months, and finally as a basin for the bath up to 2 years of age. The fact that an object is multipurpose is typical of poor contexts, where there are no resources to buy many different objects that do similar things. With KOKONO™, you can do different things at different times because it was designed to be robust and reusable infinite times. This is an innovative aspect of our project, born from the sharing approach with the recipients of use.
